If you are looking for a vacation stay, this hotel is not for you. The hotel needs updating, rooms are very small, appearance is "cheap"; however it was clean.
We needed a room to stay one night to cut a long trip shorter. It suited our needs perfectly. The owner/manager was very polite, the room was clean, and we would stay again if the opportunity presents itself.
The owners were very hospitable and the rooms very clean. It's close to everything and a whole lot less expensive. It was fine for our two night stay over the holiday weekend.
Unfortunately the neighborhood in which it is located is not one to which I would return. But then again I was lucky to get such a nice and clean place for the money.
Management was very accomadating in our needs. Let us park our Harley close to the room for security.
You get what you pay for.The place was definately not renovated, (as the sign outside suggests) but there were clean sheets on the bed, a reasonable shower and great breakfast at Johnny's next door ($2.99). If you're booking on price alone, this is acceptable.
Old rundown hotel, mismatch tiles in bathroom, bath very thin (movement underfoot) when walking in it to take a shower. You suspect how clean the carpets might be, if the rest of the place is so rundown? Forget Wifi!........... It didn't work! I would only recommend it if it was for the rates or only if arriving late and sleeping there one night.
what i liked best about the hotel was not being in the hotel much at all.
the owner kept tabs on us, and seemed nosey about us more than others at hotel.
The staff was really nice and helpful. The man at the front desk was pretty sympathetic and always trying to help.
There's no breakfast, but there is a bar right next to the hotel that offers breakfast for $3.99
Nice rooms with good beds and clean bathrooms. You get exactly what you pay for. They are remodeling the rooms at the moment.
Door could use replacement.
Outside very bland and unloved, but the rooms were clean, the air conditioning Worked and the bed linin was in a good condition. It is the outside impression which gave the " is this the best we could do" moment And as most other hotels in the area were sold out for the golf tournament we had very little other choice
Untidy outside areas, an old Toilet unit was in the ground floor corridor, this would be easy to rectify and give a better impression
First let me say, We have had some trouble in the past, with rooms being gone thur, so we don't trust anybody, anywhere. But, when we checked in, we where greeted by a very freindly man, and the kindness just kept going... no matter what was going on, there is a smile and time to speak and to be honestly concerned about your needs and anything that can be done to improve your stay... Tom, is a very kind, honest man, and within a day or two, we didn't feel the need to remove all of our belongs from the room, that is a big step for us. We where made feel at home, thats important... I would tell all my freinds and family about the Red Carpet Inn..
Booked according to other reviews & price. Am puzzled why there are any positive feedbacks.
Very helpfull staff, couldnt do enough for you, very clean, very good sized rooms, loads of parking quiet at night
The price is good compred to other motels/hotels in the area.
Worn down roms, a bit shady. Close to big road. Choose it for oe night only beacause of the good price. Fine if you just needa place to sleep.
It wasn't what it should have been for the amount of the stay. The rooms are dated and don't have enough electrical outlets. You can't have the microwave and refrigerator plugged in at the same time, well not if you need the desk lamp on. And you will need it on, the rooms aren't very well lighted and to top it off, there's no iron, ironing board or coffee maker in the room. There's also no hair dryer in the bathroom area.
Railroad direct behind the hotel. Over the week every night hourly trains giving signals. Low budget hotel. Don't expect too much. Very polite people on the desk!
